One of Sierra Leone’s fastest growing mobile phone networks- Tigo- has been dishing out prizes to its subscribers.
On Thursday at Tigo’s Pulteny Street office, a refrigerator valued at Le 1.5 million was presented to Princess Mansaray, a JSS III pupil of the Vine Memorial Secondary School. She was the lucky winner of Tigo’s ongoing trivia draw that occurred a fortnight ago.
This was also followed by a presentation of a million Leones cheque each to six subscribers of the Tigo Millionaire promotional draw which took place last week at the Bunker Entertainment duplex at the Lumley beach.
In his opening remarks Yusuf Kalil explained that the presentation was twin pack as “we are going to present one million Leones cheque each to six winners at Tigo’s millionaire draw and also present a refrigerator to the winner of Tigo’s trivia draw [which occurred a fortnight ago]”.
He said, “after the presentations we are going to do another trivia draw for a MP3/MP4 player and a slim DVD player.” Tigo’s media coordinator, Ms Jariatu Bah, explained that Tigo had not come to the end of its promotion, noting that they had several promotions for their customers.
Narrating her experience the lucky winner of Tigo’s Trivia draw, Ms Mansaray, said “the winning is like a dream”, adding that the prize came at the right time as their at home refrigerator blown off few weeks ago.
