Sierra Leone Sprinter who represented Sierra Leone in the 400 meters in the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championship in DOHA, for Women was ranked 30th Position from among 48 athletes who competed in the event. In her heat she came 7th position with a season best of 52.16 seconds. Speaking after the race the technical Director of Sierra Leone Athletics Association Coach Palmer said Maggie should have run a better time but she is just recovering from Injury she received during the All Africa Games in Morocco.

He said so far Maggie Barrie has proved herself as one of the best overseas athletes the country can be proud of, that is why as an association we appreciate her very much. He also revealed that Maggie Barrie still has the National record of 51.35 seconds and Coach Palmer says he has sent her a message to keep training as the Olympic games will be next year in Japan.
