Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – Mogbwemo Queens FC continues their dominant form in the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League, securing a 2-1 victory over Ram Kay FC to maintain their unbeaten run.
In a thrilling encounter, Mogbwemo Queens asserted their dominance as they clinched their 14th win of the season, holding firm at the top of the league table with an impressive 43 points from 15 matches, having drawn only once.
The match saw Mariama Sembu of Mogbwemo Queens open the scoring before halftime, putting the hosts ahead. However, Ram Kay FC fought back in the second half, with Isha Sesay netting an equalizer to level the score.
In a dramatic turn of events, Kadiatu M Kamara sealed the victory for Mogbwemo Queens in the 90+8th minute, converting from the penalty spot to secure their 14th win of the season. Rashida Kamara was rightfully awarded the Woman of The Match for her outstanding performance.
Meanwhile, FC Kallon continued their impressive form by defeating Sierra Leone Police 4-2, maintaining their stronghold on the second position in the league standings with 37 points from 15 matches, having won 12, drawn 1, and lost 2.
