The secretariat of the All People’s Congress (APC) has told this medium that they will go into their Emergency Delegates Conference in the next two weeks after Justice Komba Kamanda of the High Court struck out the injunction that was taken by some members of the NRM.
The secretariat said the injunction was struck out yesterday, Thursday morning after two of the plaintiffs, Minkailu Koroma and Kafoir had earlier withdrawn from the matter.
The Secretary General of the APC, Alhaji Osman Yansaneh said the party is happy that all the problems they have faced since 2018 are now behind them and they are now ready to make sure that they first adopt the new constitution and start at the lower levels until they arrive at the point where the national executive and the presidential candidate of the party will be chosen.
He said all these will be done in the next six months or less, as they would want to start preparation for 2023 elections this July.
Ambassador Yansaneh averred that now that they have been given the clearance, the work to start planning for the coming conventions is starting, and called on all committees to make sure they are ready to play their part for the success of the conventions.
According to the reports from the secretariat, the adoption of the new constitution is expected to take place in Port Loko, but the National Advisory Committee (NAC) is expected to meet during the weekend to come out with the dates and venues for all the conventions and elections around the country.
