The Young People Willing Workers (YPWW) of the New Life Ministries Church of God in Christ has celebrated its 13th Anniversary. It started with a panel discussion and finally climaxed with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday 16th August 2009 at the James International Complex Race Course Road, Freetown. The theme of the occasion was “The Spirit of Power and of Sound Mind” (2nd Timothy 1:7). The Master of ceremony was Sister Christina Soalla-Bell and the Guest Speaker was Pastor Joseph Bangura who based his message on the theme.
He further stretched his ministration on Psalm 62 verse 11 “God has spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God”. Pastor Bangura said that power belongs to God. “Though the devil might want to paint a dark figure in our minds that he owns the power but be steadfast and focused in the Lord” he said. He advised the congregation to prepare their minds for action because being a Born Again does not stop the devil from targeting life.
“Being a born again is not an issue but your mind” Pastor Bangura stressed. The Guest speaker pointed out that a man can be a pastor but still a fornicator. So every body must have a set mind and not a damage one he advised. He further advised that people must renew their minds because if ones mind is fenced with the word of God the devil cannot reign in their lives. The Bible says “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world” Human being is like a tea bag which has to go through hot water to be brewed. . In concluding he said intelligence had nothing to do with the devil because he is crafty. He prayed that God’s grace will be sufficient for everybody on Earth so that we shall live a honorable life with God.
