Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – Sierra Leone’s celebrated hip-hop artist, Yusif Osaio Kamara, affectionately known as YOK 7, has clinched this year’s prestigious AWOL Sierra Leone US/Canada Based Artist of the Year Award, reaffirming his deep-rooted connection to his homeland and his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact through his music.
Taking to his official Facebook page, YOK 7 expressed his profound gratitude for this exceptional honour. He wrote, “I extend my heartfelt thanks to Almighty God for granting me the opportunity to be crowned the Best Artist of the Year at the 8th Annual AWOL AWARDS. Immense gratitude goes to all those who cast their votes in my favour. You are all truly amazing.
