Makeni, SIERRA LEONE – In anticipation of their home clash in the Sierra Leone FA Cup Round of 32, Wusum Stars of Makeni’s Head Coach, Mohamed Lamin Kamara, expressed confidence in dictating the match against Gallinas of Pujehun in an exclusive interview with Awoko Newspaper.
When questioned about his knowledge of the opponents, Kamara admitted, “Honestly, I’ve no idea about our opponent, Gallinas FC. So we’ve to respect them and make sure we dictate the match.”
In his first stint leading a FA Cup match for Wusum Stars, Kamara urged his players to strive for victory. He remained tight-lipped about his strategy to face Gallinas, stating, “A good cook would not disclose his cooking secret. I’ll speak more after the match, but at the moment, I can say a tough road lies ahead of us. Our goal is to progress.”
Despite Wusum Stars enduring four consecutive defeats in the Leone Rock Premier League, Coach Kamara remains optimistic. He highlighted, “When we meet Gallinas, we’ll make use of our surface and fan support to secure the win, announcing our readiness for any opponent that comes our way in the FA Cup.”
The match, scheduled for 4:30 pm today, will mark the beginning of Kamara’s FA Cup journey with Wusum Stars on home soil. Football enthusiasts await the outcome, eager to witness the team’s determination and strategy in this crucial encounter. ARW/1/2/2024
