On Sunday June 12th at the Wusum Stars playing field in Makeni, Wusum Stars came very strong to break the unbeatable record of FC Kallon when they defeated their opponents by two goals to one(2-1)
This was FC Kallon’s first defeat in the league which did not go down well with the founder of the club, Mohamed Kallon who, according to reports reaching this press, was also given a red card during the match and was asked to leave the technical bench for the stands.
This Particular defeat has dented the hopes of FC Kallon’s chances of fighting for the championship.
FC Kallon has now secured 17 points from 9 matches while their opponents, Wusum Stars have now secured 18 points from 10 matches.
On the same day at the National Stadium, Kissy All Stars defeated Nepean Stars by two goals to one (2-1).
This is the 8th match Nepean Stars have lost so far in the League. They have only secured 4 points from 10 matches, while their opponents, Kissy All Stars have secured 10 points from 9 matches.
Also on Saturday at the National Stadium, the defendingChampions, East End Lions, came very strong to wallop the current league leaders, Kamboi Eagles by four goals to one (4-1).
This is Kamboi Eagles second defeat in a row. They are still leading the table by a goal difference to one of their arch rivals in this year league, Ports Authority, as both teams have 20 points each after Ports Authority defeated Area Base by a goal to nil at Makeni to level points with Kamboi Eagles.
Also at the Bo Coronation Field, Bo Rangers maintained their unbeatable record when they defeated a well determined side Central Parade by three goals to one (3-1). This is Bo Rangers fourth win in the league, as they have now secured 17 points from 9 matches, while their opponents, Central Parade, has secured 10 points from 9 matches.
Also last Friday, Blackpool continued their poor form in the league when they were held to a goalless draw by Diamond Stars.
Blackpool has now secured 9 points from 9 matches while Diamond Stars have secured 14 points from 10 matches played so far
