Subscribers of Celtel mobile company will be benefiting from a shop along with goods worth Le 20,000,000 (twenty million Leones), one year’s rent and Le 5,000,000 (five million Leones) start-up cash for just 100 and 400 units talk time.
Launching the Business Promotions product yesterday at the Victoria Park the Minister of Trade and Industry Alimamy P. Koroma said that he was very impressed with the promotion because it specifically deals with a group of people he has interest in – because they are would be business people.
The Minister said that the product that he was about to launch is one in which everybody would want to benefit from as people will want to start their business but they don’t have collateral.
Mr Koroma called on the network to organize the draw with transparency as most raffle leave people in doubt of their transparency. “Since this promotion is to last for three months I wish and know that there will be a call from the people to extend the time to be longer.”
The Trade Minister said that Celtel is really committed to creativity and innovation as the business promotion is really timely for the people of the country.
The Managing Director of the network, Ted Sauti-Phiri said that this product offers an opportunity to existing subscribers and for new ones to make their lives better.
The MD boasted about the affordability and widest coverage of the Celtel network saying “we have the biggest subscriber base and we cover 80% of the country and 60% of the geographical landscape of the country.”
In terms of affordability, Mr Sauti-Phiri disclosed that they have the ‘moonlight’ tariff which is the cheapest and the ‘flat’ and ‘kombra’ tariffs for all subscribers.
Speaking about the mechanism of the raffle Rufina Adjivon-Tucker said that the network is going through thick and thin to see that the lives of its subscribers are better.
She maintained that for just 100 units talk time the subscriber is entitled to a weekly draw of rice and lots of other goodies.
For the subscriber to qualify for the monthly draw, she said “you only need a talk time of 400 units which will enable 10 subscribers to win the shop worth twenty million Leones of items, five million Leones start up cash and one year rent, – and winners will be coming from all the four regions.”
She assured the Minister of Celtel’s commitment to transparency as they want to make the lives of their subscribers better.
