Residents in Kailahun District are concerned over wild animals that have been destroying their crops.
In a joint border patrol, executed by members of the Sierra Leone Armed Forces and the police recently in Vaahun, Fanga, Mandu Dawa and Tangabu, the residents of these communities pleaded with them to come to their rescue as wild animals continue to destroy their crops on a daily basis.
The police local unit commander in Kailahun, Keifala Katta, expressed serious concerns over the invasion by wild animals on farming communities. He noted that “if given the mandate, I would mobilize my men to get rid of the wild animals”.
