The head coach of FC Kallon, Charlie Wright disclosed to Awoko Sports that as a team they still have confidence in Ibrahim Tetteh Bangura even though he missed a penalty that should have secured all three points in the match against Freetown City FC on Sunday in the Africell’s Premier League.
Charlie Wright said that Tetteh is a fine player and they still believe in him and that is why they assign him to take penalty kicks during matches and he has been scoring them, but on Sunday he failed to score.
He also stated that Tetteh has learned from is mistake and the next time he will make sure he score. Wright said that any team they are playing they are going to play their own system which no team can able to stop. What we train we must make sure that we play it to knock the ball around.
He said that they are well focused and they are looking forward to defend their position in the league as they want to win the league at all cost.
Charlie Wright said that they are not going to put their players under pressure for winning the league but as a team they have what it takes.
In the other matches played Kamboi Eagles and Diamond Stars played to a one all draw while at the Bo Coronation Field Bo Rangers and Golden Dragons also played to a goalless draw.
In Kenema, Wusum Stars defeated Gem Stars by a goal to nil and in Freetown East End Lions defeated Nepean Stars by three goals to nil (3-0) with Sidike Mansaray scoring a brace.
The league will continue on Wednesday at the National Stadium with Old Edwardians hosting Gem Stars of Tongo.
