The Technical Director of Mighty Blackpool Football Club Christian Cole has disclosed to Awoko Sports yesterday at the National Stadium that as a team they have prepared very well for the coming premier league that is expected to start this month.
He said they have done all the scouting to make sure that they bring the players that they need on board to beef up the squad.
And these players were drawn from different clubs in the country playing different positions in the field and he boasted that this time around they can win the league with the kind of players they have registered.
Christian Cole mentioned that the team has signed about 14 new players including Samba Kanu from Belvic United, Pa Sallieu from Ports Authority and host of other players.
He also stated that he is happy with the quality of players signed which will make the team have a well balanced side and with these kind of players they would be able to play the two rounds league.
He also revealed that they failed to win last year’s premier league because most of the players registered were not up to the task that is why this time around all of these players have been given free transfer by the club to choose any team of their choice.
Christian Cole said that they have played series of friendly matches to test the strength of the team and out of the friendly matches played so far they have won about four of these matches and drawn two which made him very happy with the team’s performance and not only the result.
He also stated that come this Thursday he is going to have a real test match against Ports Authority at the Brima Attouga complex in a gala organized by fans of Ports Authority football club.
He went further to congratulate the premier league board for a work well done for the manner in which they organized the last premier league which was a success and appealed to the referee committee to provide good referees to officiate the matches if they are to have a successful league.
