The secretary of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Chris Kamara, has said were it not for COVID-19 they are more than willing to go to election, as the association’s executive committee is ready and prepared for it.
He said even FIFA executives work from home at the moment, adding they need to be part of the election “so we need to be patient as election is a process and we have to go through that process”. Kamara said the executive committee has instructed him to write a letter to government through the Ministry of Sports to either lift or lessen the restriction on sporting activities “as we have pending competitions in November and December this year”.
He said they are awaiting government’s response. BT/14/08/2020
