The head coach of the senior national cricket team Joseph Katta has disclosed to Awoko after the team returned from Malawi that they were not used to the facilities but they were able to adjust during the competition.
He said they were able to adjust before the other countries because during their first match their opponent Morocco failed to turn up so they were able to make good use of the oval and the facilities which gave them an advantage during their second match.
Katta stated that he was happy for the team as they were able to qualify for the associate level by becoming runners-up in the competition which was their dream over the past years.
He also mentioned that the team will now join the other associate members in South Africa to play in the division two World Cricket League in South Africa in April next year.
Katta mentioned that during the competition in South Africa they are going to make sure that most of the players selected will be up to the task so that they would be able to qualify and take the country to other stage in cricket.
All these can be achieved with hard work if they the players can have the necessary motivation they will put the country on the map of cricket in any international competition and at any level as they have what it takes to do so.
