Following persistent reports of theft of pipes within some communities and the city, accusing fingers have been pointed at the Watsan Technician Association of which its Chairman has vehemently denied. Speaking to the press in Kenema city, the chairman of Watsan Technicians in Kenema Ansumana Ngegba has distanced his organization from allegations of rampant thefts of stand pipe types in positions in Gombu, Burma and IDA communities in the city of Kenema.
The chairman blamed the disappearance of the stand pipes on those he says have nothing to do with his Association and trade in Kenema. He says they have instituted strategies as an Association to clamp down on the imposters who are trying to damage their good image which he has suffered to establish for years in Kenema. Ansumana Ngegba also called on inhabitants of these communities and the city in general to be vigilant in putting stop to such habit and to prosecute suspected pipe thieves to the police for prompt action.
Mr. Ngegba described his Association as disciplined and professional with trained and qualified personnel in gravity pumping hand wells and VIP toilets construction. He appealed to the public to maintain the confidence they have for the Association.
