Violence may destroy the ongoing division one play off if action is not taken by the organizers, as was witnessed during the recent matches played at the Coronation field in Bo. After the match between Belvic United and RSLAF serious violence broke out between players and officers of both team. Serious abusive language was the order of the day leading to the wounding of both Belvic United players and officers. According to reliable information from Bo the reason why the police officers who were on duty were unable to control the military personnel was because they outnumbered the police officers.
The other match between Freetown City Council and Bai Bureh Warriors also ended in violence involving players and officers.
