Sports Personality Veronica Mamie Bameh commonly known as Aunty Vero who died on Monday 7th February at Columbus Ohio, USA at the age of 61 years will be laid to rest on Saturday February 19, 2011 in Columbus Ohio, USA.
On the same day February 19 in Freetown there will be a Memorial Service for the late Veronica at the St Anthony Church at Savage Street Brookfields at 2pm.
The late Veronica was an ex – Prison officer 1686 before she left for America in 2007.
The late Vero is survived by four children. She also participated in local sports associations in the country which includes Athletics, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball and Boxing and she was part of the Prisons female team.
She was an active member in these associations before leaving for America. She will be missed by relatives and the sports family for the contribution she has made towards the development of sports in the country.
