Sierra Leone has taken part in this months multi regional training program organized by the Mississippi Consumption International Development sponsored by the state department of U.S.
This was disclosed to the press by the representative from Kenema who represented
Sierra Leone Elogima Sam.
He says the training program brought together participants from seventeen countries in Africa, Middle East, South and Central Africa with the aim of strengthening the accountability in governance and public sectors.
Mr. Sam said the training covered so many issues such as International efforts in combating corruption, financial management, and access to public information, procurement, social justice and judicial conduct.
However Mr. Sam has pleaded with the United States Embassy in Sierra Leone to link some city councils in the US with the city councils in Sierra Leone.
He says his participation in the program and other colleagues was to take a front stage in the fight against corruption and social justice in their various countries or origin.
