The U-20 WAFU tournament which was to take place in Ghana from 15th-28th November 2012 has been postponed indefinitely.
Eight countries from West Africa, including Sierra Leone, were invited to take part in the tournament.
The postponement of the tournament came on Thursday October 25th 2012 as a surprise to the team, which were undergoing intensive training for the tournament.
Speaking to this medium, the coordinator of U-20 team James Fofanah said they have also stopped the training until further notice.
He said that they will resume training as soon as the appropriate date for the WAFU tournament is communicated to them.
Meanwhile, 70% of the U-20 team will continue training for the CHAN competition qualifier against Guinea in December 2012.
The Guinean team will travel to Sierra Leone in two weeks time after the first leg in Guinea, on 2nd December 2012.
