The head coach of the U-17 squad who also doubles as team manager of the team, Christian Cole, invited 63 players for training which started Saturday at the Football Academy at Kingtom.
The 63 players were drawn from 12 different clubs in the premier clubs, non division, and division leagues.
These selected players will be going through series of trials, and after the trials the Western Area select team will then travel to the provinces to engage their counterparts in keenly contested football encounters in the three regions respectively before the final selection.
Some of the players selected are Miminu Komson, Santos Sesay, Lahai Freeman, Osman Kamara, Eric Musa, Amidu Conteh, Thomas Bockarie, Morlai Sesay, Donald Wellington, Thomas Tucker, Sulaiman Kamara, Sadiu Mansaray, Alimamy Kamara, Shamsu Deen, Dauda Sesay, Unisa Bangura, Jonathan Sawyer, Moses Conteh, Kai Gborie, Samba Kanu, Richard Yanka and host of other players
