Two accused persons Sahr James a scholar residing at Lalehun Kovoma town and Adams an auto mechanic also residing at Lalehun Kovoma on 25th October 2012 made their last appearance before the Acting presiding magistrate Alhaji Mohamed Momoh-Jah Stevens in the magistrate court in Daru town Jawei chiefdom Kailahun district.
According to the particulars of offence the two accused persons on Thursday 20th September 2012 at Lalehun kovoma in the Njaluahun chiefdom in the Kailahun district with intent to steal entered the dwelling house of Sao Lansana and stole there in quantity of raw cocoa beans valued at Le300,000 and two bags of dried cocoa beans valued at Le560,000 property of Sao Lansana.
The accused persons were standing trial on one count of larceny in a dwelling house contrary to section 13(1) of the larceny Act of 1916. The accused persons pleaded guilty and were handed 8months imprisonment each or to pay a government fine of Le700.000 each. The matter was prosecuted by sergeant 4938 Lawundeh attached to the Legal and Justice Support Department of the Daru Police Station.
