High Court Justice Komba Kamanda has sentenced two men to six years at the Male Correctional Centre for stealing goods valued at one hundred and ninety-one million, eight hundred and fifty thousand Leones (Le 191,850,000.00). The two convicts, Frank Gegbao Vamboi and Ibrahim Bangura, were accused of breaking into a store at Wilberforce in Freetown on 29 January 2017 and stealing DVD laptop players. They were both arrested and charged to court on two counts: Conspiracy; and Store Breaking and Larceny. At first they denied the allegations. However, when they appeared before the Judge at the Siaka Stevens Street High Court in Freetown, on Thursday 14 November 2019, they changed their plea to guilty.

The defense counsel, Mamakoh Kallon pleaded with the Judge to hand down a minor sentenced on her clients. The Judge sentenced them to three years in each counts. Jointly charged with the two men is Alimamy Bangura. The allegation against him is that he received cartons of DVD laptop players and one music box player. This according to the prosecution happened on 31st January 2019. He is charged with one count of Receiving Stolen Goods. He did not plead guilty.
