Musa Turay and Grace Abdulai appeared before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Magistrate Court No. 2, Pademba Road on Monday 23rd November 2020 to answer to two counts of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916. Police accused Musa Turay on Wednesday 11th November 2020 of larceny.
According to the particulars of offence, Musa stole properties belonging to Nimo Consultancy in the custody of Hassan Okom worth over Le40 million, among them; four (4) lengths of iron rod (12mm) each valued at Le75,000; 150 pieces of board (1 x 12 x 14) each valued at Le70,000. Police charged second accused Grace Abdulai with one (1) count of receiving stolen goods contrary to Section 33(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to police report, on Wednesday 11th November 2020 at No. 9 Childrens Home, Lumley Road, Freetown, Grace Abdulai received the following items; 3 poles of scaffolding iron pipes valued at Le1.2 million, totalling Le 3.6 million, knowing same to be stolen.
Sergeant Newstead is prosecuting the matter.
Both accused persons had earlier been granted Le50 million bail each. Meanwhile, Magistrate Mark Ngegba adjourned the matter to 7th December 2020.
