Former Leone Stars international Joseph Toby is expected to take over as technical director of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed forces football team ahead of the team play-offs for promotion to the premier league
The decision to bring Toby on board according to information is to qualify the team to the Premier League in the coming season. It was also disclosed to Awoko Sports that the Minister of Defense is determine to see the military team promoted to the Premier league at all cost.
The Military team in the last two years have failed to make it to the Premier League, so this time they are determine to sail through by bringing on board an experience coach that will help them win the play-offs.
The RSLAF Football team was runner up in the just concluded division one league which is why they want to gain promotion this time around.
Confirming the appointment, Joseph Toby said he was approached by them and he is ready to help them gain promotion as he has seen the determination from the officials. He made it clear that he has agreed in principal and they are now negotiation the contract.
The play-offs are expected to start next month.
