Thunder storm strikes many to death in Kono

Thunder storm ripped through Kono over the weekend leaving two people dead.
The two deceased are Madam Kumba Femusu a house wife and Dominic Jimmy a School teacher.
They were allegedly struck dead by a thunder storm accompanied by a heavy down pour of rain in Koidu town also left several houses unroofed and millions worth of properties destroyed.
An emergency Relief Committee was set up by both the District and City Council whose immediate responsibility was to provide food, medicine and temporary accommodation for victims. The Vice President, Sam Sumana and the First Lady Mrs Sia Koroma who are from Kono have sent a message of condolence to the victims of the storm.
