The technical Director of the Sierra FC, Coach Sam Ngobeh has said that three players of the academy Alusine Bangura – Goalkeeper, Mohamed Kargbo Centre Back and Alie Kamara –Midfielder, have been promoted to the senior team.
According to Coach Sam the reason they requested for those three players is because they need to replace some of the senior players and assured management and fans that the three players will make the deference in the senior team.
According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ibrahim Conteh, these players have been in the Academy since the start of the Academy in 2018 and these three players deserve promotion and he is very pleased.
He said he was approached by the technical team and the three players are doing very well in training and coming from the feeder team to the senior team is welcome news.
He said Mohamed Kargbo the Centre Back has been with the U-17 team that went to Liberia and did so well. So getting such a player in the senior team is necessary.
Goalkeeper Alusine Bangura is a very good goalkeeper with a record at the youth tournament organized by the Sierra Leone Football Association. He did very well and during the final he saved four penalties. He will be a back up to the other two goalkeepers in the senior team.
Midfielder Alie Kamara was one of the best midfielder in the Academy and has a lot of respect for him and hope he will do his best in the ongoing Division Two Western Area Football Association league.
The head coach for the Junior team, Coach Kassim said the three boys have done great work and it was on these grounds he recommended them to the technical team for promotion, which is good for the academy and hope other players will follow their footstep.
