By patricia.ngevao@awokonewspaper.sl

Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – The King Harman Maternity and Children Hospital, Ola During Children’s Hospital and the Macauley Street Government Hospital has benefitted from Innovate Solution Consultancy Sierra Leone (ISC SL), through a donation of assorted items worth over NLe15,000 including toiletries and electric fans.

The items were donated to children in the special care baby units, children in the paediatric units, and also those in the general wards.

Speaking during the donation, the manager of ISC SL, Emma Hilda Morsay, said the company is a consulting firm of civil, highway, airport, irrigation engineers, architects, planners, sociologists, and project management consultants.

“Since 2013, God has been good to us. In order to show how much we appreciate what God has been doing for us as a company, we deemed it fit to give back to the needy,” she said, adding that the donation is a continuation of something they started long ago.

Morsay recalled that in previous years; they have also donated to orphanage homes across Freetown, stating that this year, they decided to reach out to children in the three hospitals.

The principal nursing officer at the King Harman Maternity and Children Hospital, Gifty Florence Massaquoi, expressed joy for the donation, stating that it will be very much helpful to those children in the hospital. Madam Massaquoi went on to call on other organizations to come out and help the needy, especially people that are in the hospitals.

Matron Francis Pearce, at the Ola During Children’s Hospital, thanked the company for choosing the hospital to benefit from their donation. She noted that the donation will go a long way in helping children in the hospital.

Medical Superintendent at the Macauley Street Government Hospital, Dr Matilda King, said the donation was appreciated, adding that it was timely. He went on to thank the company for the goodwill.

Mothers of the hospitalized children from the three hospitals expressed their thanks and appreciation for the donation, adding that other companies are kindly implored to embark on such a good venture. PSN/10/1/2023
