Alhaji Mohamed Nabie, one of the candidates vying for the Vice Presidency of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) election slated for 27-28 June, said the present SLFA executive is the worst ever.
He made this disclosure during their meeting with stakeholders in the northern region. He went further to describe the present SLFA executive as one without integrity and not accountable to their stakeholders who voted them four years ago.
Nabie recalled that when Justice Tolla Thompson executive left power, they left in the SLFA account about $49,000 in the foreign account and about over 20 thousand million Leones in the other account.
“Within less than two months when the Nahim Kadi executive took over 36 thousand dollars was used without any breakdown. This is to show you that this executive cannot boast of any financial account since they took over. That is why in the last extra-congress they were unable to give proper financially account,” he noted.
Alhaji Mohamed Nabie also mentioned that stakeholders needed to keep their integrity to vote wisely this time around, and appealed to them that this particular congress would make or break football in this country.
He recalled that about five years ago he had intention to stand for the presidency of the SLFA but when he spoke to Dr Bangura about that the latter replied that he too had interest to stand for the presidency. And that after Dr Bangura had shown him his programme he decided to back out because he felt that he was the best candidate.
