The President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Henry Moore has disclosed to Awoko Sports that this NOC is a new one with a new engertic Secretary General and Administrative Secretary who will cooperate with the executive to transfer the NOC to a higher height.
He also mentioned that the NOC has started to embark on some programs they have sent to the Olympic Solidarity and one of such programme is to re-establish the Olympic Academy that was operating before the death of the late Wallace Johnson and with this development we have eye marked somebody to run the academy in full swing.
He also disclosed that they want to intensify their training programme so that they will be able to prepare more people so that by the time of the next Olympic game in 2012 they should have enough training both locally and internationally wherein the country should be able to have qualified athletes for the games.
He also mentioned that they have a lot of plans in place for the next four years which will be a big blessing for the associations under the National Olympic Committee (NOC).
President Moore also mentioned that they want to transfer the current office of the National Olympic Committee to a bigger place where they will be able to have enough rooms for other members of the executive to work.
He also disclosed that he has a good relationship with other association members that was why they invited them to a meeting after the election and most of them who were against him during the elections were present during the meeting.
He mentioned that in any election you must have a winner and the election is now over so they must all come on board to build the National Olympic Committee.
