Staff of Sam-King Services were shocked yesterday morning as they came to work only to see their office at Gloucester Street ram shackled by thieves over night. The office deals in stationery, office supplies, computers and accessories, printing, general supplies and business consultancy; and at the same time employs a dozen Sierra Leoneans from all works of life.
According to the Office Manager and Internal Auditor Christiana Asgill, the accountant who   normally takes control of the office key came to open the office to start the day’s work yesterday morning and found one of the windows of the office damaged. He said he immediately called the Director of Operations, and they went to the Criminal Investigation Department to report the matter.
He said at the moment they are not in a position to make even a rough estimate of the items that were carted away. He also said the shocking revelation has thrown them into “perpetual trauma” and they are uneasy to attend to their customers until due forensic investigations are done on the issue.
He stated that the security personnel that were deployed at the office yesterday are with the police in a bid to expedite their investigations, adding that members of the board have also joined the CID to enhance a fruitful investigation.
Scene of Crime Officers- detectives Ishmael Koroma and Robert Conteh, during their forensic investigation found blood stains on the pieces of glass that were broken by the thieves in their bid to enter the building. They said they will continue ceaselessly with their investigations until culprits and prime suspects are arrested.
