The Executive Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Dr. Kenneth Brima, has said, “The nation is now looking forward to you the coaches especially the Leone Stars. I therefore urge you all to live up to expectation.” He made this statement during the official unveiling ceremony of national team coaches by the SLFA, and urged the coaches to take their jobs with the utmost seriousness, and always put the country first. The NSA Executive Director assured the coaches that the authority’s technical committee would look into the terms of reference set by the FA and recommend to the government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Sports for attractive conditions of service for them.
Dr. Brima used the occasion to remind all that the NSA is now receiving applications for registration of sports associations as provided for in the NSA Act 2017. He concluded by encouraging all associations to register within the timeframe set by the authority.
In his key note address, Minister of Sports, Ibrahim Nyelenkeh, thanked the New Direction Government of President Bio’s for their unwavering support and commitment to sports in the country, and pledged government’s support to all categories of national football teams. Minister Nyelenkeh concluded by congratulating the coaches on their assignments and urged them to be confident at all times.
