Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – Tekno, a talented singer who is rated as one of the most successful amongst many African musicians has talked about the state of Salone (Sierra Leone) and that of his homeland Naija (Nigeria) in his new single titled “Freetown”
The new song talks about insecurity, unemployment, fuel scarcity. Tekno also mentioned the high rate of homeless children that begs around the streets of the two West-African nations, stating that all the countless prayers for a better life are yet to be achieved. He believes that the two countries that are currently under the atmosphere of general elections are facing similar issues of poor governance system, where the majority of their citizens are jobless with poor electricity, insufficient food, poor water and some other current issues plaguing the country.
The 30-year-old continental hitmaker is well known for lyrics that promote social changes and provoke the bad deeds of governments. Years ago, in one of his hit songs titled “Rara”, he took a dive into the poor governance system in Nigeria. This song was well received by both national and international audiences. PSN/11/3/2023
