The Taekwondo training, which started in Freetown two weeks ago, has now moved to Makeni to continue with the same training which started on Tuesday February 5th 2013 for those in the Northern region.
According to the President of the Association, Oness Johnson, he said that they have decided to take the training to Makeni, so that those in the Northern region will be part of it, since Freetown is not the whole of Sierra Leone.
After the Northern region, he went on, the training is expected to move to the South and Eastern regions respectively.
After then, those who have gone through the training, will start to implement want they have learnt from the four Korean experts.
He further described the ten day training in Freetown as “a success since the training involved 20 Military personnel from Taekwondo clubs in the Western Area.
Oness Johnson said that the training was more practical than theory, and they are looking forward to more training of this nature.
He appealed in their need for a refereeing course in the next training, so that the association can boast of Taekwondo international referees, at end of the day.
