In a short interview with Mr. Suaray he said he would not comment, but said if that is the case he would readily accept the appointment as he is a Sierra Leonean and will want to serve his country to the fullest of his ability. Asking him whether this will make him become a member of APC Party, he said if such appointment is effected it will be done on merit and not because of party affiliation and if he wants to join any party it is his prerogative to belong to any party.
“My duty is to serve the country and I believe if the president wants to appoint me, it is because I am fit for the job and not because of party politics”he stated. Sylvester Suaray few years ago was a journalist working for Awoko Newspaper before he went to London where he continued further studies in journalism and later law. If appointed, President Koroma will again score a mark for appointing a Southerner to join the Northerners.
