As the rains continue to pour down heavily with heavy winds in Kailahun, an eleven year old boy Borbor Brima of the Methodist primary School in Kailahun was recently struck dead when a tree fell on him.
Sources close to the deceased family members revealed that over the last couple of days Borbor Brima was accompanied by two other boys Alhaji Kamara and Foday Brima to fetch fire wood from bushes around Gbanyawallu and Baoma where he met his sad death. Reports say on that fateful day they went to an old farm as usual at Baoma road to cut some fire wood when heavy rain followed by a storm erupted.
The two survivors sought refuge under a palm tree but the deceased insisted on seeking shelter under a big suspended stick which eventually collapsed on him catching him by the spinal cord.
A postmortem examination was done before the remains were handed over to the family for burial.
