The Sierra Leone State lottery has on Wednesday 13th May commissioned a brand new pik-3 machine at its Tower Hill office in Freetown. The new machine functions with 30 balls with three balls coming out to determine a win at a time. Speaking at the commissioning ceremony the Managing Director of Lotto Abubakarr Dizo Kamara, lamented that history has been made under his leadership for the very fact that the pik-3 machine is the first to be assembled in Sierra Leone. Mr. Kamara thanked members of the board, staff and the retailers for their collective effort in ensuring that the pik-3 machine comes into existence. He expressed awareness of the fact that there is competition in the market and his company will in no way serve as a barrier or a catalyst to stifle the operation of its competitors. He encouraged all customers of lotto to be loyal to the company as it is purely for Sierra Leoneans and home based.
Mr. Songu M’briwa, the chairman of the Board of Directors for Lotto poured the libation to appease the dead. He then unveiled the Pik-3 machine for public view. In his statement he vowed to make the SLSL an envious company within the West African sub region before he leaves office. He hopes that the machine will serve its intended purpose by providing services to the company and its customers.
