State prosecutor Gerald J. Soyei, in the trial of the Standard Times’ managing editor Phillip Neville vs. the Inspector General of Police, yesterday said before Magistrate Bankole Shyllon that he was seeking instructions for continuance of the matter.The state prosecutor requested for an adjournment of the matter as he said he was seeking further instructions from the Director of Public Prosecution and the Inspector General of Police.
The prosecutor did not tell the court what further instructions he had to take, but informed the Bench he was requested to ask for an adjournment to Monday. But Magistrate Shyllon adjourned the matter to Tuesday 21.
On the last hearing on July 9, the court viewed part of the video cassettes of the visit to Sierra Leone of the Libyan leader.
