The renovation work at the National Stadium is in progress with the Pyramid Group a Philippino company working very hard to meet the dead line of March 10 given by the Federation Of International Football Association(FIFA) after they banned the stadium last month
The company has also inspected the field which needs urgent attention according to the Stadium manager Alhaji Umaru Aziz who has been monitoring the work every hour to see the pace in which the working is going while some other stakeholders too are visiting the site
By the 6th of next month FIFA will be sending one of Africa’s football icons Kalusha Bwalya who is currently the President of Zambia Football Association to inspect the work and report to FIFA before a decision to lift the ban or to continue with it will be taken.
When Awoko sports visited the site he saw many Sierra Leonean football fans also going to see the progress of the work as they want to see their darling Leone Stars playing their own matches at the National Stadium with big players of their opponent – live – at the national stadium.
