The Student Partnership World Wide (SPW) Sierra Leone Chapter has just ended their annual meeting at the National Pastoral centre along Dama road in Kenema city.
Speaking to the press in Kenema the Field officer for the eastern province Moinina Kenneh said that SPW Sierra Leone started operations in the country in 2005 and that they are now operating in eight districts in the country. Kenneh says SPW – SL volunteers in all the communities are working length and breadth in order to see that youths are properly and adequately cared for in Sierra Leone through well structured programmes. He said the activities of SPW- SL include sensitization in HIV/AIDS infection, Youth mobilization, Youth education, teenage pregnancy among others. He told the press that this particular meeting was geared towards discussing their previous performance and to find the way forward for this New Year, adding that SPW will continue finding a sustainable change in the behaviour of youths in the country.
Kenneh appealed to youths in the country to take active part in community development programmes so that Sierra Leone will continue to develop for generations yet unborn.
