The culprit was arrested Monday at around 7 pm. According to the crimes officer attached to the Congo Cross Police Station, Samuel Williams, the suspect was handed to them by Emilda Stronge and Brima Mansaray.
He added that Mrs Stronge and Mansaray caught Ibrahim Bangura red handed when he was cutting 133 pieces of high power cables, “which is the property of the National Power Authority (NPA)”.
Williams disclosed that the suspect would be charged to court today, adding that the suspect was found in a bush cutting the cables from a felled pole with the pretext that he was answering nature’s call.
In his statement to this press, Ibrahim Bangura disclosed that he was found in a bush answering nature’s call when suddenly Stronge and Mansaray saw him and alerted people in that environ.
