Sierra Leonean Spain-based boxer, Mohamed Mansaray, has identified himself with the National Coach, Ali Dumbuya.
The 75kg middle weight Tenerife-based boxer in his recent meeting with Coach Dumbuya, expressed his intention of representing the country at International Championships.
“My dream is to see myself become the Sierra Leonean boxer to win the World Boxing Championship Medal,” Mansaray said, adding that he was happy with the reception he received and promised to work with the association to put the country on the boxing map.
On behalf of the Sierra Leone Boxing Association (SLBA), Coach Dumbuya said he was pleased with Mansaray because he has identified himself with the association after16 years away from home.
He said “despite some logistical problems the association is facing, they are doing their best to keep the sports alive to meet with their counterparts on the world stage.”
