In the Western Area Volleyball Association (WAVA) competition played over the weekend in three different venues in Freetown, Solar and Young Stadium Stars have emerged as winners of the competition.
Solar Volleyball Team defeated Sixers, the host in both categories male and female by three straight sets at the Calaba Town FHM School. In the other match played on the same day at Wilberforce Village, Al-Bangs defeated Forecians by 3-1 in the male category whilst in the female category; Forecians defeated Al-Bangs by 3-2 aggregate.
On Saturday, Stadium Stars defeated the host Miracle Corner in both male and female categories by three straight sets.
On Sunday Solar Spikers continued their winning spree when they defeated the Forecians male and female team by three straight sets.
Al-Bangs thrashed the Miracle Corner’s male and female volleyball team by 3-1 aggregate. In the other matches played Young Stadium Stars male team lost to Sixers by 3-1 aggregate.
