The Sierra Leone Red Cross Society (SLRC) Kenema branch has ended a National Training Workshop for Red Cross Volunteers at the district Council hall in Kenema city.
The chairman for the Kenema District branch Lahai Koroma said the training was organized to capacitate the Volunteers on recent developments on the manual management policy.
He described a volunteer as a person who provide services without receiving payment but still continues on the job.
The training will help develop volunteer strategies during peace, conflict management policy, operation on volunteer issues and financial management and reporting.
A volunteer Steven Koroma noted that they have developed new skills to work effectively as volunteers and appealed to his colleagues to continue to be dedicated and committed in providing their services in the interest of the nation.
