The Sierra Leone Roads Transport Authority (SLRA) office in Kenema has began a new season for licensing in the eastern region.
Speaking to Awoko at the Sierra Leone Road Transport Authority’s office along Blama Road, the public relations officer Nilmalty Kamara said the new season would be guided by much effort by the Authority’s staff in Kenema to ensure that all vehicles and motorbikes within the region were registered before the first quarter of the new year.
He disclosed that the office experienced huge evasion of licenses last year which caused the corporation revenue to drop drastically, but stressed that vigorous search would be put in place to ensure that users of these machines abide by license regulations in the region.
Mr Nilmalty Kamara pointed out that some government officials in the region were driving around in unlicensed vehicles.
