Over a hundred former youth supporters of the Peoples Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC) have declared their support for the Sierra Leone Peoples Party last week. The youths who made the declaration at well-attended meetings held at Shell Mingo, Kpetema and Kamara.
In his statement in all these meetings, the Section Chief of Gbo-Kakajama, Chief Brima Kargbo who is also the chairman of Board of Director (BKPS) spoke about the good work of the ruling party, saying that one of the main aims of the government is to reduce the high rate of illiteracy in the country.
Chief Kargbo said that the high rate of illiteracy was one of the root causes of the rebel war that destroyed the entire country.
But he cautioned all to be wise when voting in people to represent them in parliament.Earlier in his speech the chairman of the meeting Stevens Alieu, briefly narrated the bitter experiences he encountered during the APC regime in this country.
In his contribution the Chairman of Kpetema, Pujehun, Kamara town and Shell Mingo SLPP Young Generation Stevens Madiyei thanked all those who attended the meetings and called on their support for the ruling party.
The quarter Chiefs Pa Mustapha Lolleh, Chief Vandi Lukulay and Amadu Juana made meaningful contributions.
