The People’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC)’s national publicity secretary general, Mohamed Bangura, has disclosed that the recently established Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) radio station- Radio Unity FM 94.9- is a blessing.
Asked why he considered the station of their political opponent a blessing, he replied: “because it came in too late …it’s a blessing for the people of this country.”
He continued, “If they would have been on air for the past two months this country would have been in chaos.”
Mr Bangura explained, “Even when they only started few days ago you can see there is commotion almost everywhere…So we thank God, they came in too late, they plan to fail and when you plan to fail that is the repercussion.”
He maintained that, “the radio station is a blessing in the sense that they came in too late propagating anti-democratic and anti-nationalistic ideas”, pointing out that if they [SLPP] had stared earlier the country would have erupted in chaos.
“So, the blessing is we finished the elections and they came in,” he said.
