A team from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has visited the Port Loko mini stadium project site headed by Vice President, Brima Mazola Kamara. Kamara thanked the Port Loko District Football Association leadership for the tremendous work done so far on the mini stadium. The team promised to work closely with the SLFA through support from FIFA to help the district FA finish the stadium, saying the Le96 million is not enough for what the Port Loko mini stadium needs to fix it.
The SLFA team urged the district FA to coordinate with the district council to work on a concept note with budget through the SLFA for onward lobbying of FIFA and other governing bodies. Abdul Osman Turay, popularly known as AOT, who is charged with the responsibility of coordinating the activities of the ongoing facelift of the stadium in his statement thanked the FA leadership especially chairman Sullay Kamara imploring them to advocate for more funding to complete the stadium.
