The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Secretariat will organize a one day Transfer Matching System (TMS) seminar on Thursday 20th May at the football Academy for premier league clubs in the country.
According to the information, the 57th Congress in Zurich decided to introduce a transfer matching system as part of the FIFA Task Force ‘For the good of the game”
The objective of the TMS in one hand is to ensure that football authorities have more details available to them on each and every transfer, and on the other hand to increase the transparency of the individual transaction, which will in turn improve the crediting and standing of the entire transfer system
At the same time, the system will also ensure that it is indeed a player who is being transferred not a fictitious player, being moved for money (”money-laundering) and last but not the least it will also contribute towards safeguarding the protection of minors.
According to the information in October this year the use of TMS will be committed to the FIFA Regulations on the status and Transfer of players as of this date ,TMS will become a mandatory step for all intending transfer of professional players .
And any professional player registration made without TMS will be deemed invalid by FIFA. The information also stated that any person that will be attending the seminar will be advice to take along laptop modem with internet facility for the ease of work The information also mentioned that documents for the workshop will be forwarded to every participant before the commencement of the workshop.
