The Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA) club representatives will meet on Sunday at the Bank Complex in Kingtom in Freetown to discuss the development of the association.
Organized by concerned cricketers, the meeting will discuss the use of straight bats, which many cricketers believe to be the “essence of good cricket.”
During the meeting, representatives will look at the draft constitution, which was officially written by the Secretary General Sidney Benka-Coker without the knowledge of other executive members.
They will also be looking on the financial matter of the executive for the past two years. Some feel that funds were spent without reporting to the stakeholders.
And finally they are going to look at the performances of the national cricket team in their last two competitions in Nigeria and South Africa, especially the one in South Africa were Sierra Leone came in third position.
After finishing as runner-ups two years ago in South Africa, the drop of one position is a particular concern which will be addressed in the meeting, one cricketer said.
