Sierra Leone U-17 National team the Sierra Starlet even though with their outstanding performances last Sunday at the Wusum playing field in Makeni they defeated their Gambian counterpart by three goals to one (3-1) but they failed to proceed to the group stage of the world cup after they were eliminated from the competition by 4-3 aggregate, after their opponent has won the first leg two weeks ago in the Gambia.
The Head coach of Sierra Starlet Hannah Williams said that they were eliminated from the competition due to the poor officiating of the referee.
She went further to praise the girls for their outstanding performance during the match.
